Translink was founded with the vision of manufacturing high quality industrial products within the industrial bearings, power transmission and hydraulics product ranges.
Juan Homs Valentí creates a company with the purpose of selling industrial and automotive spare parts, Suministros Homs.
1978
The second generation
The second generation, led by Juan Homs Biosca, develops and achieves significant growth for the company, diversifying into various families of industrial products, including bearings, power transmission and hydraulics, promoting internationalization and training the third generation that continues with the activity today.
2000
Translink registered internationally
After several years selling power transmission products internationally, the Translink brand was born, with the first 2 power transmission product lines: transmission chain and sprockets. On February 14, 2001, Translink was patented as a trademark in the Community Trademark Registry of the European Union. From the same year of its registration, Translink sprockets and chains have been marketed in European and American countries, while the first international customers for the brand are established.
2003
Complete Power Transmission range
The range of Translink power transmission products is expanded with the families of pulleys, couplings, and belts, completing the offer of the brand's power transmission division.
2006
Bearing division
The Translink bearings and pillow blocks division is born. Initially, with steel and stainless stell ball bearings, thrust bearings, angular contact bearings, tapered roller bearings and spherical bearings. In pillow blocks, the brand starts with the entire range of cast iron pillow blocks, split housings and stainless steel and plastic pillow blocks.
2008
International recognition
The brand manages to market its products in 38 countries on 4 continents, and already works with more than 30 distributors internationally
2012
TL Power Transmission S.L is born
Translink obtains ISO 9001 manufacturing certification for all its products in the bearing and power transmission divisions.
2013
Manufacturing ISO 9001
The company TL Power Transmission S.L is born, led by Juan Homs Farre and Jose Homs Farre with the purpose of distributing the Translink brand globally and continuing its internationalization.
2014
New hydraulic division
The hydraulics division is born, which begins with the commercialization of Hydraulic Hoses. The following year, the range of products was expanded to include industrial hoses, rigid pipes, bushings, fittings, adapters, quick couplings, valves, pumps, and hydraulic distributors.
2015
First subsidiary overseas
Translink obtains ISO 9001 manufacturing certification for all products in its hydraulics division. This same year, the first subsidiary company of TL Power Transmission SL outside Europe was established, specifically in Hong Kong, with the aim of entering the Asian market and serving direct importers in Europe.
2016
Middle east expansion
The range of bearings is expanded by adding, among others, the families of spherical and needle roller bearings. The brand begins to market in the Middle East. Translink is already present in more than 50 countries and has a network of more than 80 distributors worldwide.
2018
Custom made engineering
Translink develops the market for custom made industrial products, both in the bearing and power transmission divisions. These custom-made products are designed for customers including machine manufacturers, agricultural industry, or energy sector.
2019
Brand registered in +100 countries
The brand is already registered in more than 100 countries for each of the 3 product divisions: bearings, power transmission and hydraulics.
2020
New SAP system
To unify and optimize processes and be more efficient, the ERP SAP is installed in the company. This investment allows us to serve much more efficiently the management and service of all our clients. The system exceeds 50,000 Translink active references.
2021
First China joint-venture
TL Power Transmission SL formalizes its first Joint Venture in China: “CIXI TL BEARING Co Limited”, in Zhejiang province, China. This plant is specialized in the design and production of ball bearings. A total of 35 production facilities, manufacture Translink products, including proprietary facilities as well as facilities that manufacture under the brand license.
2022
Unification
All our products and product catalogs are unified under a single brand image. The weight of individual packing is improved, as well as our cartoon boxes and pallets.
2024
Expansion
We start our expansion project in Southeast Asia, concretely in the country of Vietnam, and with plans to expand into Indonesia and the Philippines in the future.
